In order to ensure the continued success of Tri-City Minor Ball Hockey Association each year, we have in place a mandatory Volunteer commitment for each family of a child registered with Tri-City Minor Ball Hockey Association (with the exception of players in the U22 Division).
This volunteer work of the members in our Association provides benefit to all the Warriors in a number of ways:
In addition to tournaments, there are also volunteer opportunities during Evaluations, and other events we may hold throughout the season. Ball Hockey would be a lot more expensive without volunteer effort.
Each family participating in the program will provide a $75 post-dated deposit cheque per family (dated June 15, 2023, and made out to TCMBHA).
Cheques will be collected by your Team Managers at the start of the season for your player(s). Please bring to the first scheduled team practice after you have a Team Manager in place for your team.
Each family will need to volunteer for a minimum of 3 hours or commit to one Association Volunteer Position.
Shift time will vary depending on the responsibilities and length of time required. 1 hour = 1 credit. 2 hours = 2 credits. Shifts will be credited accordingly depending on the length of shift.
Families must complete all assigned shifts or complete the duties of the full time position in order to meet the volunteer commitment.
Families are responsible for finding a replacement for a shift that they have signed-up for but are unable to cover. If a family is a no-show for any shift where they have signed up for a volunteer position, that no-show will result in the cheque being cashed.
All parents can volunteer for ANY event or tournament across Divisions, however priority will be given to said Division first.
